Training
Mandatory Trainings:
The University of Alaska requires all employees to complete a set of mandatory trainings. For a list of all mandatory training modules, as well as links and instructions for how to access them, please click here.
Title IX
In addition to the other manual trainings, the university requires all employees complete a Title IX training module every year. This can be found by navigating to UAOnline, logging on using your single sign-on credentials, and navigating to the Employee Services tab to click on Employee E-Learning. Once there, you can select the Title IX training from the list and follow the instructions provided.
Employee Education and Development
The University of Alaska also offers a variety of training options to staff looking to develop new skills:
- Benefited employees can take advantage of the tuition waiver to take university classes. More information can be found here.
- Additional free professional development modules can be found by:
- Navigating to myUA, clicking on ‘Employee Services Dashboard’, selecting ‘About Me’ from the menu, and clicking on ‘Training and Development’. Once there, you can explore the library to select trainings you may want to take.
- If you have a library card with the Noel Wien Library, you can take advantage of the LinkedIn Learning with Lynda program. Once there, choose: ‘Sign in with your library card’ and use your library ID and Pin number to browse hundreds of training modules.
